Diffraction gratings are used either as beam splitting elements (e.g. Phase masks) or as dispersion elements for wavelength separation. Ibsen fused silica transmission gratings are the ideal grating choice for a wide range of applications:

  • Telecom devices such as Wavelength Selective Switches (WSS), Tunable Filters (TF) and Optical Channel Monitors (OCM)

  • High power laser applications such as pulse stretching / compression, spectral beam combining or beam-splitting
