The D-MON™ OCM makes advanced optical control algorithms possible by providing local access to fast, accurate and cost effective DWDM channel power information. Ibsen Photonics' D-MON™ combines compact size with high reliability and low power consumption to make it ideal for direct integration into DWDM amplifier and OADM modules.

The D-MON™ series of DWDM optical channel monitors will include the D-MON 40, and D-MON 80, measuring either 40 channels at 100 GHz channel spacing or 80 channels at 50 GHz channel spacing

High reliability

Ibsen Photonics' D-MON™ products have been designed with special emphasis on reliability and are packaged to meet Telcordia GR-1209 requirements. The D-MON™ channel monitor is a static device with no moving parts. Furhter to this the D-MON™ is athermal over a wide temperature range. This guarantees the long-term reliability and high tolerance towards external mechanical impacts necessary for applications at remote communications stations.
